Court: Measles vaccine not to blame for autism

WASHINGTON (AP) — In a big blow to parents who believe vaccines caused their children’s autism, a special court ruled Thursday that the shots are not to blame.

The judges in the cases said the evidence was overwhelmingly contrary to the parents’ claims — and backed years of science that found no risk.

Florida calling card company included in $2.25M settlement

A group of prepaid calling card companie, including Pembroke Pines-based Alternatel Inc., have agreed to pay a $2.25 million to settle a civil suit brought by the Federal Trade Commission, the first major settlement in the government’s effort to curb deceptive marketing tactics in the industry.
