–Legal Profession–

CALLING ALL AMBASSADORS — THAT’S YOU!Jacksonville Daily Record, column, http://www.jaxdailyrecord.com, Feb. 6, 2012.
The guest column by Jacksonville Bar Association President Michael Freed states: “We live in an age where there exists. . . an endless supply of polarizing and antagonistic opinions, but so little genuine, reliable information. The legal system and the legal profession have fallen victim to this dynamic. Our friends, family and neighbors look to lawyers in their lives to help them make that choice. . . . The judicial branch of government around which our profession is centered

But, what comes next? If you’re going through divorce, is there anything else you can do to keep the odds in your favor?

Well, interestingly enough, over the years, I have noticed that certain personality traits seem to serve women particularly well during the throes of divorce. Women with these qualities seem to emerge from divorce in relatively good shape, and they start their single lives with determination and vigor.

With these women in mind, I’ve compiled a short list of the six key personal traits

Kris Humphries wants TV cameras to watch divorce from Kim Kardashian

If Kris Humphries gets his way, all the dirty details from his upcoming date in divorce court with reality star Kim Kardashian will play out on TV and on the Web.

The New Jersey Nets basketballer and his lawyer, Lee Hutton, are angling for overexposure because they believe it will help their case if the ugly truth about the cutthroat reality-TV business is revealed to the general public.

They say that allowing cameras in the courtroom for the divorce proceedings will reveal that Kardashian was more interested in boosting ratings for her show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” than in staying married to Humphries, according to www.tmz.com.

Kardashian, 31, filed for divorce from Humphries, 27, on Oct. 31, just 72 days after the couple’s wedding.

Now for the bad news (though it’s not exactly a big surprise either): The Michigan native has left her home state off the initial tour itinerary released Tuesday by
